ASCENT Photos of Day Habilitation


In this program, individuals with moderate to severe cognitive needs may also have significant physical needs, such as deafness or blindness. The Day Habilitation Program is a medically based model offering:

  • Nursing
  • Occupational therapy
  • Physical therapy
  • Speech therapy
  • Behavioral intervention

Developmental skills training focuses on:

  • Self-help development
  • Communication development
  • Sensory/Motor development
  • Independence development
  • Social development

Individuals may be identified as part-time day habilitation and part-time vocational training, and as such may also participate in the Employment Services program on a limited basis.
